A Day at the Beach

In April, I was super excited to go to San Diego, after the filming of the last scene of the IMAX movie, Superpower Dogs, in LA.

My good friend, Surf Dog Ricochet, one of the five stars of the movie was being filmed!

It was the first time that Firefighter Dayna had met Ricochet and her human, Judy in person and in dog. The two have know each other for a really long time after meeting on the web!

Ricochet’s segment focuses on the her work with special needs children and veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. Cosmic Pictures filmed two days at the beach!

Video of Guinness Book of Work Record Day!

I'm working on my monthly column for Fire Engineering Magazine's firelife.com column and just found this super cool video from the folks at the Guinness World Records!

In April of this year, I helped break a Guinness World Record with 107 of my canine friends for the "Largest Dog Photo Shoot" at the "Superpower your Dog Day" held by Superpower Dogs in Los Angeles.

The record as set while filming the closing scene for for the adventure film.

Enjoy!

Superpower Dogs will be in IMAX theaters!

Ever since I found out the movie, Superpower Dogs, was going to be an IMAX film, I was super excited because I knew it would be an incredible experience for those watching the film.

I thought, for fun, I would check out how an IMAX film works at a movie theatre, and boy, was I ever blown away when I found this video!

Did you know that IMAX stands for "Image Maximum?" Boy, they weren't kidding when they named it that!

Another thing I learned is each film can weigh over 400 pounds! Wow! I hope I can actually see an actual film case of SuperPower Dogs someday! I bet it will be bigger than me!

Watching this gives me goosebumps and makes me even more excited for the movie's release next year!

I believe all dogs have superpowers! Celebrate your dog’s amazing abilities by sharing your photos and telling about your dog’s superpowers.

A Big Day!

Yesterday, I was SO EXCITED to get my first look at Cosmic Picture’s original documentary, Superpower Dogs, on the big screen.

The film features the real-life superpowers of remarkable dogs who save lives and I had a great time at the Malco Razorback Cinema Grill & IMAX in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

As Official Ambassador for the film, I couldn’t wait to watch the released preview of the movie at an IMAX theater to get the full experience, and what an experience it was!

A little background if you haven’t heard the story: In April of this year, I traveled to Los Angeles to participate in the last scene of the film as a background actor and I feel truly honored to be a part of this pawmazing production!

A few days ago, IMAX launched the first teaser trailer for a special "IMAX Original Film" from Cosmic Pictures titled Superpower Dogs, playing on the big screen in March of 2019.

I had a great time watching the teaser that was playing in front of the showing of Pandas, the other IMAX nature documentary now in theaters.

Here’s more info about the movie:

Superpower Dogs is a 55-minute IMAX film that "takes audiences on a journey around the world to meet incredible dogs and showcase the extraordinary real-life 'superpowers' they use to protect endangered species, save lives in avalanches and earthquakes and make the world a better place."

In the movie, you’ll meet Halo, a puppy training with a fire captain; Henry, an avalanche rescue expert; Reef, an Italian lifeguard dog; Ricochet, a surf legend in California; Tipper and Tony, the Bloodhound brothers leading the fight to save endangered species in Africa.

Are you looking forward to the film?

If so, let me know below!

Special thanks to Malco Razorback Theatre, Superpower Dogs, CosmicPictures, IMAX, Malco Theatres, Inc., Katelynn Zoellner, Aileen, Taran, Chase and Garrett for helping make today possible!
